I have read it is an 'encoding issue'. I am using Nicepage on Wordpress, nothing fancy and no idea how to check or change the encoding...

It is OK when viewing on a desktop, but not on a mobile. The issue appears here:

Hello Brendan,

Yes, both pages are missing 'meta charset="utf-8" code.

Please open your page with Nicepage Editor in Wordpress.
Go to the Site Settings.
Open HTML tab.
Add the provided code to the Meta Tags field.
<meta charset="utf-8" />
Click Done and Save the page.
Click republish afterward.
Check the page on the live site, clear browser cache before if needed.

Let us know your results, please.
